Our Story

Baduwatta Desiccated Coconut Mills (Pvt) Ltd. was established in 2005, driven by a vision to harness the natural bounty of Sri Lankan coconuts and deliver exceptional quality products to the world. Originally founded with a commitment to traditional methods and quality, we have grown significantly over the years. In 2012, we re-registered as PV22351, marking a new chapter in our journey towards enhanced production and wider market reach.

Our founders, Dinuke Lalinda Hettige and Shenuke Milinda Anton Hettige, bring a wealth of expertise to the company. Dinuke Lalinda Hettige, a Chartered Accountant with a B.Sc. in Accountancy (Special), provides strong financial acumen and strategic direction. Shenuke Milinda Anton Hettige, with a Masters in Entrepreneurship from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, drives innovation and business growth.

Today, we are proud to employ around 110 dedicated individuals who share our passion for quality and sustainability. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that every product we produce meets the highest standards of excellence.
